Gentle cycle at or below 30°C / 86°F with mild detergent. For larger sizes, a front loading or commercial machine gives the rug room to move. No bleach, stain powders, or fabric softener. Mild detergent protects color and fiber. Air dry only, away from radiators and direct sun. Lay flat or hang in a shaded, airy spot. Wrinkles relax on their own within a day. Smooth stubborn folds by hand. Solvents are unnecessary and can affect the backing. Your machine is all it needs. Press a clean white cloth onto the spill and lift. Never rub; rubbing pushes the spill deeper into the weave. Cold water and a single drop of mild detergent on the cloth. Work from the edge of the spot toward its center. Let the spot dry naturally, then vacuum on a low setting. For anything stubborn, a full machine wash resets the rug. No wash needed before first use. Having bought that smaller rug I knew i liked it so went on to buy this larger one haven't washed it yet so can't say about that. In general I am pleased with this rug .
