Proper care is essential to maintain the lustrous finish and structural integrity of your JUSTRUG. Vacuum your rug 1 to 2 times per week using a suction-only setting. Crucial: Disable the beater bar (rotating brush) entirely. The acrylic fibers are resilient, but the viscose component is vulnerable to snagging and fiber distortion from rotating brushes. Vacuum in the direction of the pile to maintain the rug's natural sheen. Viscose absorbs moisture rapidly and is highly susceptible to watermarks. In the event of a spill, blot immediately with a clean, dry, white cotton cloth. Never rub or scrub. Rubbing will crush the viscose fibers and create permanent dull patches. For sticky or colored spills, apply a small amount of club soda to the cloth, never directly onto the rug. Rotate your rug 180° every 6 months to distribute foot traffic and UV exposure evenly. Viscose fibers are prone to localized crushing and fading. Schedule a professional dry cleaning every 12 to 18 months. Water-based cleaning can cause viscose to shrink, stiffen, or develop water stains. Always request a dry or low-moisture cleaning method. Viscose (also known as rayon) is a cellulose-based regenerated fiber that loses up to 50% of its tensile strength when wet. Never steam clean, wet shampoo, or use excessive water on this rug.
